Top Tips for Achieving UK Compliance 2018

For many, Compliance modelling is the main route into the VE, with models being created to establish how to meet targets. This course covers the basics in terms of how best to setup models to assess compliance. We look at some of the common issues that are overlooked by modellers and also highlight best practice with respect to the items below.

The session covers many of the items discussed in the IES Top Tips for Achieving Compliance document and provides updated discussion for 2018 on these as appropriate. The focus of the session is on Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) using ApacheSIM.

We cover best practice with respect to:

  • Model Geometry – including Zoning
  • Constructions – including Notional Constructions
  • Systems – including Central and Zone level
  • Lighting - including controls
  • DHW – including Secondary circulation
