Achieving Thermal Comfort Performance through Simulation

Thermal Comfort performance forms a key role in many building design guidelines and green rating systems including LEED, BREEAM and WELL. This course covers the analysis of thermal comfort within buildings and provides a background on the factors that can influence occupancy comfort whilst demonstrating the metrics commonly used to evaluate comfort performance.

This course demonstrates example analysis of thermal comfort in both Air Conditioned and Naturally Ventilated building designs.

Attendees should be comfortable using ApacheSim, MacroFlo and VistaPro. Knowledge of ApacheHVAC would be advantageous but is not essential.
